Predictions Cup is a free-to-enter simulated trading competition for eligible students enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program, or the local academic equivalent.
Participants must be at least 18 years old or otherwise legally recognized as an adult in their jurisdiction of residence and must reside in an eligible geographic region. See the Official Rules for complete eligibility requirements.
Yes. Participation in the competition is completely free. There is no entry or other fee required to participate.
Susquehanna may review trading and account activity on the platform at any time, but it is not required to. That includes activity that suggests collusion, coordinated trading between participants, use of more than one account, or any other attempt to manipulate results or undermine the competition. If Susquehanna decides, in its sole discretion, that a participant has violated the Official Rules or the Terms of Service of the Platform or acted unfairly, it may reverse or cancel trades, disqualify or remove participants, or take other action permitted under the Official Rules. Participants who are disqualified may also be barred from future competitions. All of Susquehanna’s decisions are final. Please play fairly and on your own. The Predictions Cup is meant to reward individual forecasting skill.
SUSQies are the competition’s play money currency which participants use to trade on the available markets. They have no real-world value. They can’t be bought, sold, transferred, cashed out or carried over to future competitions.
Yes. You can create an account at any time before trading closes at 12:00pm ET on November 4, 2026.
No. Predictions Cup is an individual competition. Each participant may have only one account, and only the account holder may trade from it. Participants competing in groups or teams will be ineligible to win or be awarded a prize.
Trading ends on November 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. ET.
All positions will be locked when trading ends on the date and time above and cannot be modified or changed by participants after that time. However, final scores and rankings are set only after every market has resolved (and not when trading ends). Each market resolves according to its own rules and data source, which you can find on the market’s “Info” tab.
Some markets may remain unresolved after trading ends if additional time is needed to determine the outcome, such as in the event of a recount, ranked-choice tabulation, runoff, or other delay in the final result. Susquehanna may use its discretion to resolve a market before or after such processes are complete, as permitted under the Official Rules.
Final standings will be posted on the “Leaderboards” tab of the Platform after all markets have resolved and results have been verified. Until then, results are provisional and the scores and rankings shown on the “Leaderboards” tab are subject to change.
Final scores and rankings are based on each participant’s verified total SUSQies balance after all markets have resolved.
All accounts operate as cash accounts. Participants cannot trade on margin or use leverage.
Position and order sizes are limited by the participant’s available SUSQies balance. Participants cannot trade more than the SUSQies available to them, and their balances cannot become negative.
API rate limits are 100 read requests per minute and 30 write requests per minute, per account. Additional information is available in the Scalar API Reference.
